Reformulating the developmental state theory to explain Chinese spatial planning

چکیده

Developmental state literature almost completely neglects the fact that one of unique features developmental is its capacity to reorganize territory, and on Chinese repeats same oversight. Against this backdrop, study attempts retheorize China’s spatial planning from a perspective. In light theoretical discussion in study, we argue developmentalist has five main characteristics planning: (1) The sees territory as means production, not living environment. (2) Industrial location policies were market-conforming. (3) was controlled or strongly influenced by elite economic agency formulates industrial guides market. (4) bureaucracy more less insulated local growth coalitions. (5) Spatial creates rather than responds changes. These are apparent much South Korea’s.

Research Review: Evaluating and reformulating the developmental taxonomic theory of antisocial behaviour

BACKGROUND The developmental taxonomic theory proposes that there are two subtypes of antisocial behaviour. The first is a neurodevelopmental disorder which emerges in early childhood and follows a life-course persistent course, whereas the second emerges in adolescence, remits in early adulthood and reflects peer processes such as mimicry of antisocial peers. The aim of this review was to eval...

Reformulating Queries: Theory and Practice

We consider a setting where a user wants to pose a query against a dataset where background knowledge, expressed as logical sentences, is available, but only a subset of the information can be used to answer the query. We thus want to reformulate the user query against the subvocabulary, arriving at a query equivalent to the user’s query assuming the background theory, but using only the restri...

Reformulating Theories Of Action For Efficient Planning

Domain theories are used in a wide variety of fields of computer science as a means of representing properties of the domain under consideration. These fields include artificial intelligence, software engineering, VLSI design, cryptography, and distributed computing. In each ease, the advantages of using theories include the precision of task specification and the ability to verify results. A g...

On Reformulating Planning as Dynamic Constraint Satisfaction

In recentyears, researchers have reformulatedSTRIPS planning problems as SAT problems or CSPs. In thispaper,we discussthe Constraint-BasedIntervalPlanning(CBIP) paradigm, which can represent planning problems incorporatingintervaltime and resottrces. We describehow to reformulatemutual exclusionconstraintsfora CBIPbased system, the ExtendibleUniform Remote OperationsPlannerArchitecture(EUROPA). We...

Reformulating Planning Problems by Eliminating Unpromising Actions

Despite a big progress in solving planning problems, more complex problems still remain hard and challenging for existing planners. One of the most promising research directions is exploiting knowledge engineering techniques such as (re)formulating the planning problem to be easier to solve for existing planners. In particular, it is possible to automatically gather knowledge from toy planning ...
